WE CORRECT VIDEOTAPE SIGNAL LOSS & UNSTABLE IMAGES We eliminate picture jitter, time base errors and increase sharpness and clarity from videotape playback and insure a clear and stable on-screen image. There are options to boost audio and provide colour correction during capture.
Capture video in real-time and create AVI files. These are uncompressed video files called, Audio-Video Interleaved (AVI) file at a bit rate of 25.0 Mbps and a display size of 720x480 in a video format of NTSC.
AVI files on DVD - Files stored on a DVD-R 4.7GB disk. Each minute of video saved with this setting consumes 180 to 200MB or for every 10 minutes of video transferred the file size will be approximately 2.2GB which means we can only put a maximum of two 2.2GB files on one 4.7GB DVD-R disk. If we capture your video to the maximum DVD disk size of 4.7GB the file may be too large to download to your computer.
AVI files on external portable "plug and play" hard drives (high speed USB) for files larger than 4.7 GB: You can also supply us with a portable external "plug & play" hard drive (USB 2.0 or higher) and we can upload the files directly to the hard drive. There is no additional charge and you would save on DVD costs. We can also supply you with an external portable hard drive for you to use or purchase. You need to be running Windows NT, 2000 or XP. For older Mac users you will need to check if your system will run DV TYPE 1 AVI files. All newer Mac computers are AVI compatible.
Create AVI files for editing on your computer . The files can be placed on DVDs, portable hard drives or higher capacity USB flash drives.

Our professional TBC (Multi-system Time Base Corrector/Frame Synchronizer ) have an integral Processing Amplifier allows the adjustment of Brightness, Contrast, Color Saturation, Hue and Sharpness. A Digital Comb Filter provides superior video signal decoding and the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) insures a proper one volt output signal from an input signal range of 0.5 to 2.0 volts.

ORIGINAL RECORDING SPEEDS OF NTSC or PAL DVCAM VIDEOTAPE: Our professional DV recorder/players can only playback *DVCAM (*LARGE DVCAM FORMAT TAPES) in SP speed only. LARGE FORMAT DVCAM TAPES recorded in LP speed can not be handled at our facility. For best quality always record your tapes in the fastest speed only, SP (Slow Play).

VIDEOTAPE DIRECT TO DVD: When Recording to MPeg-2 Format (VBR files) you can NOT edit these files on your computer. It is for viewing purpose only. If you need to edit your videotape please let us know and we can discuss your options.
OUR DVD RECORDERS are not the cheap ones you find at most stores. Our professional DVD recorders have an enhancement system which restores the quality of your videotapes during transfer and produces better quality than your original videotape. This means the DVD will look better than the original analog videotape!
MINI-DV & DVCAM: For future video editing of your videotapes we recommend transferring your video tapes to MINI-DV or DVCAM (tape) Master. This allows you to edit, capture prints, add music or sound, titles or transfer your videotape via "Firewire" to your computer using your DV deck or DV camcorder. (You must have a DV deck or camcorder & video editing software & hardware and a computer that can edit full frame video) Transferring DIRECT to a MINI-DV or DVCAM MASTER and making copies to DVD and VHS is recommended. We can also make a DV SUB-MASTER, DIRECT from the MASTER through the "Firewire" connection which results in a PERFECT COPY. We can also copy your DV MASTER through "Firewire" to DVD for distribution. (If you do not plan on editing or doing further manipulation of your videotapes then we recommend transferring them direct to DVD-R Mpeg2 VBR files) Currently the maximum amount of videotape we can transfer to Mini-DV in SP Speed (best quality) is 83 minutes and 124 minutes to DVCAM.
