Avalanche closes Kootenay Pass

TMTVNEWS.COM --- An avalanche on Kootenay Pass, Highway 3 in southeast BC caused major headaches for travelers Wednesday and Thursday morning. Invermere BC man found dead after party

Last week, B.C. Ambulance responded to a call of a man down in the 1100 block of 5th ave, Invermere.  A male located at the scene was found dead. The police investigation determined that the deceased, Cory Jarock age 30 of Invermere had been evicted from a drinking party the previous evening and was found by the residents of the property the next morning in the driveway of the property. The police are continuing their investigation into the death and are actively seeking to speak to all persons at the party to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Jarock.

RCMP RELEASE,  Salmo BC, Canada --- Sometime during the night of March 31st, 2012 unknown suspect(s) broke into several outbuildings at the Porcupine Saw Mill at 8564 Highway 6, Salmo, BC. The suspect(s) then forced open several employee lockers taking numerous personal tools as well as a considerable amount of Teck cable valued at almost $10,000.00.  The overall loss is believed to be in excess of $16,000.00. Salmo RCMP request anyone with information this or other crimes to call the Salmo RCMP detachment at 250-357-2212 or Crimestoppers.

Accident Closes Highway 3A near Castlegar BC  A head-on collision earlier Friday evening closed Highway 3A for several hours near the community of Thrums, just east of Castlegar.
