3 in southeast BC caused major
headaches for travelers Wednesday
and Thursday morning. The highway
was closed for more than 12 hours
and the detour available
via Highway 3A and Kootenay Lake
Ferry had high volume traffic at both Kootenay Bay and Balfour ferry
terminals with over two hour delays.
The highway has since reopened.

Last
week, B.C. Ambulance
responded to a call of a man down in
the 1100 block of 5th ave, Invermere.
A male located at the scene was
found dead. The police investigation
determined that the deceased, Cory
Jarock age 30 of Invermere had been
evicted from a drinking party the
previous evening and was found by
the residents of the property the
next morning in the driveway of the
property. The police are continuing
their investigation into the death
and are actively seeking to speak
to all persons at the party to
determine the circumstances
surrounding the death of Mr. Jarock.
